Healthcare marketing is how medical companies and healthcare providers communicate in a way that reaches patients and doctors, builds trust and stays within the law. We run it for private clinics, dental practices, physiotherapy and diagnostic centers, medtech companies, and medical device manufacturers and distributors: from strategy and your website, through Google Ads and Google Business Profile, to social media and automated inquiry handling.
In healthcare, the brand that wins is easy to find, answers questions to the point and has reviews that speak for themselves. We’re a creative agency based in Wrocław and Warsaw. We design content to inform, not to promise results.

MARKET & CHALLENGES

What you’re up against in healthcare

A clinic competes with chains and the practice next door. An equipment manufacturer competes with global brands and cheaper alternatives. Sometimes a patient decides within an hour because something hurts. Other times they put it off for months. Before they call or order, they read reviews and check who’s behind the content. That’s why many decisions are made in a search engine, before anyone has talked to you.

Many audiences at once

Patients ask about convenience and price, doctors about clinical data, procurement about terms. Each of these groups needs a different message and a different channel.

Sensitive topics

Patients don’t talk openly about a stoma, incontinence or addiction. They search on their own, online, so the content has to be tactful and easy to find.

Unanswered questions

Patients call the front desk or write to the manufacturer about choosing the right equipment and reimbursement. If they don’t get a quick answer, they pick the next search result.

No control over reviews

Satisfied patients rarely leave a review unless reminded. When you reply to a negative one, you can’t reveal anything about the patient or their health.

A brand tied to its doctors

Patients choose a specific doctor and trust their judgment. When a specialist leaves the clinic or changes what they recommend, some patients follow them.

AI chat recommendations

Some patients ask ChatGPT or Gemini about symptoms, tests and equipment. What the chatbot recommends depends on the descriptions, data and reviews it finds online.
WHAT’S DIFFERENT

How healthcare marketing differs

Five ways it differs from marketing in other industries:
01
Advertising limits.
Providers may only inform (Article 14 of Poland’s Act on Medical Activity, ustawa o działalności leczniczej). Medical devices have separate advertising rules.
02
Trust is the currency.
Patients trust their doctor, not an ad slogan. Reviews, expert knowledge and reliable sources make the difference.
03
Health content (YMYL).
Google judges the authorship and credibility of health content more strictly.
04
Special category data.
Health data from forms, orders and chats must not flow into ad pixels or advertising tools (Article 9 GDPR).
05
Search-driven demand.
You can’t create a health need with an ad. Patients search when something is wrong: on Google, Google Maps and review sites.
That’s why we start by auditing what you already communicate, and only then add more channels.
COMPLIANCE

How we work in healthcare communication

We do
share the scope of services, prices and appointment availability
introduce doctors: specialties, qualifications, experience
publish educational content on health and prevention
show interiors, equipment and directions
run Google and Meta campaigns with factual messaging
We avoid
superlatives and comparisons (“the best clinic in town”)
promises of treatment results and guarantees
promotions, discounts and contests for health services
“before and after” photos without legal review
targeting based on health data, and pixels on pages that reveal it
This list follows Article 14 of the Act on Medical Activity and the Polish Code of Medical Ethics (Kodeks Etyki Lekarskiej) for providers and doctors, and the GDPR for the whole industry. Advertising of medical devices is governed by Articles 54–61 of the Polish Medical Devices Act. This is not legal advice.

FAQ

Common questions about healthcare marketing

Can a healthcare provider advertise in Poland?
A healthcare provider may inform the public about its activities, but it can’t advertise in the traditional sense. Article 14 of Poland’s Act on Medical Activity allows providers to publish information about the scope and types of health services they offer, provided that its content and form have no characteristics of advertising. In practice, this means factual messages without superlatives, promises of results or price incentives, even when you show them in paid channels.
What is healthcare marketing?
Healthcare marketing is the planning and running of communication for clinics, practices, doctors, medtech companies, and medical device manufacturers and distributors in line with the law, professional ethics and the GDPR. It covers strategy, the website, Google Ads campaigns, Google Business Profile, social media, review management and inquiry handling. The goal is patients and customers who trust you, not just reach.
How much does healthcare marketing cost?
The cost depends on scale (the number of locations, specialties or products), the scope of work and the ad budget. We price one-off work, such as an audit, strategy or a new website, separately from ongoing channel management, and the media budget goes directly to Google or Meta. We prepare a quote after a short call about your goals.
How do you attract patients to a private clinic or practice?
Start where patients are already looking: a complete Google Business Profile, recent reviews and a fast website with a price list and online booking. With that foundation in place, Google Ads campaigns for specific treatments and specialists pay off faster. Social media and expert content build recognition, so patients choose you rather than the nearest competitor.
Can a doctor run social media accounts?
Yes, a doctor can run a social media profile and publish educational content. They must follow the Polish Code of Medical Ethics and the rules on informing the public about their practice, so the profile can’t turn into an ad for their own services. We help plan content that builds the specialist’s authority and educates patients while staying within those limits.
How do you handle GDPR in healthcare marketing?
Health data is one of the special categories of personal data (Article 9 GDPR), so it needs a more careful setup than in other industries. This applies to the whole sector: an order for ostomy supplies or a question about choosing a product also reveals health information. We check what data your forms, online booking, online store and chatbots collect, whether ad pixels run on pages with patient data or on product pages related to a medical condition, and whether campaigns are targeted using health information. We recommend confirming the final setup with your data protection officer.
How quickly does healthcare marketing show results?
It depends on the channel. A Google Ads or Meta Ads campaign usually brings the first inquiries within a few days: in a lead generation campaign for Sturomedica, 102 leads came in during the first 3 days. Google Business Profile, reviews and expert content take longer to build, usually a few months, but then bring in inquiries without paying for every click. That’s why we most often combine both approaches and show you every month how many inquiries each channel delivered.
